Defamation League Releases Debut CD The Anatomy of Grit-Hop
(ContentDesk) January 18, 2006 -- The music behind the soundtrack for last year's most infamous college-produced and nationally recognized adult film is finally on wax. The Defamation League, who mysteriously are also the official band for a San Diego congressional candidate, have released their first album, The Anatomy of Grit-Hop LP."This [expletive] is the [expletive]," announced vocalist Dune Murderous to the cheers of the crowd at the Def League's invite-only CD release party recently held at an undisclosed location in Ocean Beach, California. "It's the beginning of our saga," followed guitarist Nick Sleezin to the background sounds of the third group member, Khemical Ali's bong rip.The Defamation League live performance showcased tracks off the album including the hit radio single 'The Sound of Violence,' as well as the first live performance of 'Autobiography' and 'The Wrath Part V.' You know.... when the food ran out, they resorted to eating their dearly departed? The tale of the 1846-1847 Donner Party is one of those fascinating episodes of American history where there is a wealth of awareness but not much knowledge. And our awareness is likely to be exclusively about the cannibalism. Terry Del Bene, Ph.D. an archeologists and historian, tells us much more in his history of the ill-fated train and its people.
